Here at Tonge Moor OOSC we welcome children from Tonge Moor Primary Academy to attend our breakfast and after school club which is based in the Great Hall.

Our breakfast club is open from 7:30am with an option to start from 8am. We provide a selection of hot and cold breakfast choices for your child to enjoy before a busy day at school.

Our after school club is open till 6pm, the children are brought to the great hall from class where they are offered a hot or cold snack.

During your child’s session they will be provided with lots of different games, toys and activities that are adapted to suit children’s individual needs, along with outdoor play and time to chill out if they want.

Throughout the school holidays we provide a fun filled holiday club at St. Bede’s Primary Academy. Children from other schools are welcome to attend. During the holidays we plan lots of exciting activities, themed weeks and trips

Our holiday club is based at St Bede Academy open 8am until 6pm with the option of half days and school hours.

I have 2 girls in After school club. To say they love it would be an understatement. When my youngest started Reception, school was very daunting and each morning she was so nervous going into school, except on the days she has after school club. When I get there early, I can’t get them out they are having too much fun making friends and playing games. The girls have a great bond with staff, especially Stacey and Janet. My youngest says she’s little Janet and Janet is big Janet, and she loves when Janet hugs her. They have a lovely bond, and I know my child feels safe whilst I’m at work. After school club has enabled the girls to make friends in other year groups and overall given them an extra boost of confidence. The food choices are good, and they have a great selection of activities to keep them busy. All the staff are friendly, fun approachable and keep in touch with me regularly regarding my children.

Such a great, caring and supportive team. My child enjoys attending breakfast and after school club, especially when they do crafts and playing outside in the warmer weather. The service provides me with peace of mind that I can attend work, and my son is cared for so well. Thank you, Katie.

Nikki Isherwood- OOSC Manager

Hey, I’m Nikki and I am the proud Manager of Morris Green Out of School based at St Bede Academy. I have been a part of St Bede’s family for 15 years now and I have worked within Baby Bede Private Day Nursery, volunteered within St Bede Academy whilst completing my Level 3 TA qualification and I am also a Parent Governor at St Bede. I am level 4 qualified in Childcare and Education, First Aid trained, SENCO and the Designated Safeguard Lead.

I am part of a fantastic team of 5 who help me provide a fun, exciting, safe and secure environment for your children. Between us we 40+ years of experience looking after children of all ages.

I have a daughter who keeps me busy and in my free time. I love shopping, spending time with my family, friends and relaxing.

Stacey Hewitt- OOSC Manager

Hello my name is Stacey and I am the Deputy Manager here at Tonge Moor OOSC. I have gained my childcare qualifications level 2 and 3, and have 16 years’ experience. I have also got a diploma in team leadership. I am a qualified first aider, and have completed food safety and safeguarding. I have a little boy, and in my spare time I like to spend time with friends and family.

I also love to take on new challenges like mountain climbing.

Amy Kay – Play Worker

Hi, I’m Aimee and I am a playworker here at Tonge Moor OOSC. I have completed my food hygiene, paediatric first aid and safeguarding qualifications. I am looking forward to completing more qualifications in playwork and childcare.

I am the proud Mum for 4 children, 3 boys and a girl. They keep me very busy at home but I love spending time with them and my husband. We also have 3 cats that keep us entertained.

Janet Lever- OOSC Deputy Manager

Hi my name is Janet, I am a playworker here at Tonge Moor OOSC. I have 14 years experience in childcare, working within nursery settings. I am level 3 qualified in childcare, I have my paediatric first aid qualification, food hygiene and understanding Autism.

I have a grown up son, and enjoy spending time with family and friends. My hobbies are reading and going to the theatre.

Demi – Play Worker

Hi my name is Demi. I am a bubbly girl who always has a smile on my face. I have a passion to help people. I have my level 3 in health and social care and I am currently in university doing teaching and education in hopes to one day become a teacher. I have 3 years experience in working in care looking after the elderly and vulnerable that I work alongside St Bede’s. In my spare time I enjoy going on holiday and doing activities.

My son Mason really enjoys after school club. He always has a smile on his face when he’s collected and brings out various things that he’s created when he’s there. I think all the staff are excellent they are very caring and love to provide a fun environment for the children. I am very happy with the service they provide.

All the staff at the ASC are amazing in their own ways, they all go above and beyond to help when you need help from them, they are always engaging in conversations.

They all like to have a good laugh with the children and make sure they are all included. They are making a big difference, and it don’t go unnoticed on how well they are doing and how much support you get from them. Both me & Lori appreciate the warm and welcoming attitude you have towards us both. You are all a credit. Lori enjoys all the activities, especially when she gets to go outside.

My son attends the after-school club at Tonge moor school just want to say what a brilliant set of staff always going above and beyond for my child and his needs very patient with him and he always comes out with a smile 😊 The communication is brilliant with the staff they always keep me updated with pictures on the site and when picking up can’t thank you staff enough 😊
