Mr Jack Hatch

Founder

Former Head Teacher of St. Bede CE Primary Multi Academy Trust.  Originally Executive Head Teacher of St. Bede C of E Primary Academy (Ofsted outstanding rated), with 530+ children.  Former Chief Executive of St. Bede’s Childcare Ltd (a fully registered childcare charity within the North West) and Chief Executive of St. Bede’s Teaching School Ltd (A successful Teaching School).  A National Leader of Education, supporting other local schools to deliver quality out of school care and education, firmly believing that children deserve the best start in life.  A member of a number of national working groups for the Department for Education.  Was previously the National Treasurer for the National Association for Headteachers and was recently North West President for the same association.  A National Leader in Education and a representative on the Local Authority’s Early Years’ forums, as well as a Pupil Premium Champion.  Awarded an OBE in June 2015 for services to education.  We are passionate about continuing to strive for what Mr Hatch believes is the right of all children.

Mrs Sarah Bagshaw

Chief Executive

Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience.  Worked within the Education sector for over 11 years.  Member of several national educational think tanks.  Representative on the NAHT SBL sector council.  Runs the centralised finance function for the MAT including Budgetary Control.

Mrs June Roberts

COO

Has extensive leadership experience, having worked alongside the former CEO, Mr Hatch, for more than 25 years; takes a vital role in providing additional oversight of the development of the senior leadership within the MAT.  An extremely experienced teacher of all primary age ranges, and also holds the National Professional Qualification for Headship.

Mrs Kimberley Dearden

Childcare Director

Kimberley has worked in many roles whilst working for St. Bede’s since 2005.  Kimberley has over 15 years’ experience in Early Years and has a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Leadership.  Kimberley’s role within the organisation is to support our setting managers to ensure they deliver the best possible childcare and driving their teams for the outstanding practice that we pride ourselves on as a charity.  She has represented the charity speaking nationally about key factors in early years and has supported settings outside the local area to replicate our outstanding practices.

Mr Mike Caine

Director

Senior Nat West Bank Manager.  Responsibilities include the provision of Commercial Finance, Corporate Restructuring solutions, Financial Analysis, Relationship Management, Service Level maintenance and Business Development.  These responsibilities require skills in understanding Financial Statements, an ability to strip down Financial Information, understanding Credit Risk, finding Solutions and having Interpersonal Skills to maintain good Business Relationships.  Previously Chair of St. Bede Primary Academy.  Chairman of the Board of Directors for St. Bede C of E Primary MAT and St. Bede Teaching school Director.

Mrs Emma Pendlebury

HR Director

Emma has experience of working in the Public Sector, Further Education Sector and the Not-for-Profit Sectors and has tangible experience in leading and managing HR services delivering on a number of key organisational objectives.  She is currently responsible for Human Resources across the Multi Academy Trust and St. Bede’s Childcare Ltd and leads on supporting the senior management team on all aspects of Human Resources.  Emma has designed a quality improvement plan and works closely with Finance and IT teams to deliver a positive customer-led service.  Emma is responsible for a HR Team consisting of a HR Attendance Officer and a HR Assistant.

Mr Karl Denton

Operations Director

Karl has over 15 years of experience of working in ICT within the education sector.  He is currently responsible for ICT and Facilities across the whole of the Trust and St. Bede’s Childcare Ltd.  Karl continually strives to ensure the ICT services are working effectively, while constantly reviewing the efficiency of organisational systems and comparing performance/costs to new emerging systems within the IT sector.  Karl manages a small ICT and Facilities team whom ensure that resources on and off site for all end users including children and staff are working effectively, to ensure a high level of security and safety and keep up to date with the changing demands of the organisations.

Mrs Emma Balmer

Finance Director

ACCA Accountant with over 20 years’ experience. Has worked within the education & childcare sector for over 6 years. Oversees the finance department for the Charity and the associated St Bede Teaching School with a small team of qualified accounting technicians.

Extensive experience of preparing full sets of management accounts for nurseries and OOSC, including comprehensive variance analysis, forecasting & budgeting.
