Extra-Curricular activities & Healthy Eating

All our settings take part in extra curricular activities at an additional cost. These include swimming lessons, Diddidance, gymnastics, yoga and Forest School (Little Rainbows’ only) If you would like more information please see the Nursery Manager.

Our healthy eating approach

What a child eats whilst they are with us can determine lots of things during the day from their behaviour to their energy levels. Therefore at St Bede’s we feel that we are the best people to plan, prepare and serve our own range of food and meals.

All our settings pride themselves on the food in which our children eat whilst with us. Mary Parry, our Area Catering Manager ensures that all foods are nutritionally appropriate for the children whilst packed with lots of hidden fruit and vegetables. Snack times are offered twice a day with either fruit or yoghurts being served with water and/or milk.

Please see our three weekly menu for more information.

All meals and snack times are a social time for the children and staff and key skills are encouraged from using a knife and fork and drinking from a cup with no support.
